You need to look at the ways you can earn and how much effort it takes. Then you’ll know if it makes sense for you or not.
So yeah… here’s how to make money from Playback Rewards. You’ll see what you have to do to get paid.
I’m not gonna sugar coat anything – some game tasks take ages and don’t pay much. But others are pretty decent. The best way to find out is just trying different offers and seeing which ones work for you.
Make Money Just Playing Mobile Games
The Playback Rewards app looks pretty clean, gotta say. You can see what you’re earning while you play and download games. I tried it and you get paid for finishing certain missions in games and sometimes when you buy stuff in the games too.
You need to turn on that app tracking thing or it won’t work right. And always start your games from inside Playback Rewards app – I forgot to do this at first and wasted like an hour of playing time that didn’t count.
When you log in, there’s all these different games waiting. Not random games either – they got real ones. My app showed Twisted Towers, Legendary Game of Heroes, and Disney Heroes. They partner with actual game brands.
Since they’re mobile games, you download them to your phone. Each one has different missions. Most just want you to reach level something-or-other or play for a while.
The rewards aren’t that great from what I saw. I mean… some missions do give bigger rewards but those always seem to want you to spend money in the game. If a mission offers a lot, it probably wants you to buy something.
You don’t have to do those spending missions tho. I just stick to the free ones.
What you earn comes as piggy bank tokens and coins. What can you do with those? Well, that’s another whole thing.
Are Weekly Quests on Playback Worth The Grind?
I tried out these weekly quests on Playback Rewards and they kinda remind me of other apps – you know, like Rewarded Play and Mistplay. They all give you extra stuff for doing certain things in games.
So what are these quests about? They basically want you to spend more time on their platform. Pretty simple. Some ask you to play a new game for like 10 minutes (which isn’t bad). Others want you to spend money… like $4.95 on some game offer. And there’s this other type where you gotta get your friends to join – that’s their referral thing.
When I looked at my account I saw a bunch of different quests. One gave me 150 pigs and 2,000 coins if I spent $4.95 on an activated game offer. Another one gave me 100 pigs if I got a friend to join and they spent $4.99. There was also this small one where you get 25 pigs and 500 coins for spending just $1.99 in any game. And the easiest one – just play a new game for 10 minutes and get 10 pigs plus 1,000 coins.
You can do these quests easy enough if you’re already using the platform. But here’s the thing… there aren’t that many quests available. So don’t get your hopes up about making a lot from this. It’s just a little extra on top of whatever else you’re doing on Playback.
Earn Money For Getting Friends To Play Games
The rewards for getting your friends to join Playback Rewards aren’t that good. You get 500 coins when someone uses your link to sign up. Not amazing.
When your friends buy stuff in their games, you also get these piggy bank tokens. You won’t get more than 50 of those tokens though. The whole thing is pretty basic – you just share your link with people and wait for them to join.
But like… why bother? The rewards suck compared to the work you gotta do. Getting people to click links and sign up for random stuff is harder than it sounds. You send out your referral link and most people just ignore it anyway.
If you really wanna make extra money, this probably isn’t your best option. Yeah, the process isn’t complicated or anything. You just share a link. But for the tiny rewards you get? Meh. There are better ways to spend your time.
How Does Playback Rewards Pay You?
OK so Playback Rewards has this weird setup where they give you not one but TWO types of money – coins and piggy bank tokens. Like why make it so complicated? But anyway that’s what you get when you do stuff on their platform.
The thing that bugs me about it is you need BOTH currencies to cash out. Not just one. You’d think they could pick one system and stick with it but I guess not.
The first time you wanna get paid is the worst part. You gotta save up 2,500 tokens AND 25,000 coins just to get $25 in your PayPal or as a gift card. That’s your first cashout and it takes forever.
After that it gets better tho. Once you’ve done your first withdrawal, the minimum goes way down to just 500 tokens and 5,000 coins for $5. So that’s something at least.
You can get gift cards or PayPal money which is pretty standard I guess. Nothing special but at least they actually pay out. I’ve tried some apps before that make it impossible to ever reach the threshold… so frustrating.
If you hate dealing with all these tokens and coins (and honestly who wouldn’t) you might wanna look at those 10 Apps that pay real money without investment. They don’t make you jump through all these hoops and track different point systems and stuff.
How much can Playback Rewards pay you?
The missions that pay more on Playback Rewards… they’re kinda useless. Why? You gotta make in-game purchases first. So you’re spending money to make less money back (makes no sense).
I spent way too long playing games for those 20 to 50 cent rewards. And yeah, that’s what you get – each mission only pays about 200-500 coins and like 20-50 piggy bank tokens. Convert that to actual dollars and we’re talking 20 to 50 cents. Per mission!
You’ll need to play for ages to hit the cash out limit. Trust me, I tried. The time it takes to finish these missions… it’s just not worth what they pay.
The earning potential is pretty bad if I’m being honest. Not the worst thing ever but… definitely not good. I mean, if you’re already playing these games anyway, then sure, get the extra coins. But don’t expect to make actual spending money from this app.
Old Enough For Playback Rewards?
Sign up process for this thing? Pretty simple actually. You just need a Google account to join – that’s the main thing. They only work with Gmail right now (kinda annoying if you ask me). If you got a different email, just type it somewhere and they’ll message you when they start supporting it.
You can’t use Playback Rewards unless you’re 18 or older tho. That’s in their rules. And there’s another problem – it only works in four places. If you don’t live in the US, Canada, Australia or Ukraine… well then you’re outta luck.
Once you connect your Google account with them, you can start earning stuff. Most people don’t have problems figuring out how to sign up – it’s not complicated or anything. Just log in and you’re good to go.
Does it Work On Your Phone?
The app doesn’t have those annoying ads popping up when you’re trying to do your thing. That’s pretty nice if you ask me. It’s easy to figure out too – even if you’re not great with tech.
But here’s the thing about Playback Rewards… you can only get their app if you have Android. Got an iPhone? No app for you. But don’t stress – their website works on phone browsers and it’s made to fit your screen just fine. So you can still use it, just not as an actual app.
Is Playback Rewards Worth Your Gaming Time?
I played around with this Playback Rewards app for a while now. It lets you earn some cash by playing mobile games – sounds good right?
Well… it’s not exactly a scam. The app works and they do pay. But I gotta be honest with you – the money is tiny compared to how much time you waste.
The biggest problem? You need to collect a ton of rewards before you can cash out. The threshold is crazy high. I spent hours and hours and barely got anywhere close to getting paid.
