Shping says you earn cash while shopping. But does it actually work? I wanted to find out.
So many apps promise money but don’t deliver. I hate seeing people waste their time. That’s why I tried Shping myself.
What I found was… different than expected. This review shows you what really happens after you download it. You’ll see how it works and if the app actually pays.
I’m giving you the straight facts. After reading, you’ll know if you should try it or find something else that pays better.
What’s This Shping Thing All About?
You wanna know if Shping actually pays off? First thing – yeah, it’s legit. You can for sure earn real rewards from it.
Think of Shping as this weird loyalty program that works with any brand you buy. Different from most apps that way.
Here’s what matters… how much work does it take to get paid? That’s the real question.
To figure that out, you gotta look at the ways to earn in the app. Check what they offer and how it all works. This tells you if it’s worth your time or not.
I mean, some apps make you do a ton of stuff for pennies – and nobody’s got time for that. With Shping, you need to understand what they want you to do before deciding if it’s right for you.
The basics are simple. The app rewards you for… well, using it. Just know that understanding how it works is step one in deciding if you should bother with it.
Turn Your Old Receipts Into Cash with Shping
Shping gives you coins when you snap pics of your receipts. These coins are just the app’s money. You get paid for doing almost nothing.

Any store works fine. Gas station, grocery store, that coffee you bought – doesn’t matter where from. Just can’t be older than about a week. Seven days worked for me, but I’m not totally sure that’s the exact cutoff.
Taking the pics isn’t hard. Just point your phone camera at the paper receipt or take a screenshot of your online order. Make sure the app can read the date, store name, what you bought, and what you paid.
Once you send your pic, they tell you right away how many coins you earned. That’s it. The app doesn’t care where you shop, just wants those receipts before they get too old.
Money For Buying Stuff You Need
The app pays you for stuff you already buy. Upload a receipt pic after buying products shown in the app and you get rewards right away.
Did you try the product? Tell others what you think. You earn extra Shping coins for writing quick reviews – good or bad doesn’t matter.
The money doesn’t stop there. Same products have more little tasks that pile up extra rewards. These take like a minute but add up fast. I do them while waiting for coffee and my earnings jumped without much extra effort.
Make Extra Money With Shping’s Friend Program
I looked everywhere on Shping’s website for info about their referral thing but couldn’t find any. They don’t explain it at all which is kinda weird.
But I can tell you how it probably works. You get a special link then share it with friends. When they click your link and download the app they become your referral… but that’s usually not enough.
Your friends will likely need to do something else first. Maybe upload a receipt or buy something from the app. Then both of you get Shping coins as a reward.
It’s pretty basic, you invite people they join you both get paid. Just make sure you only ask friends who actually want to use Shping. If they download it and never use it you won’t earn anything from them.
If you like getting paid for simple stuff you might wanna read about Pie Adblock too. It’s this extension that gives you money just for blocking ads.
How do you get paid by Shping?
Shping coins are what you earn from doing tasks in the app. They’re crypto – actual money you can cash out. Not just fake points that don’t mean anything.
There’s limits on how much you can take out though. Your member level controls this limit. Just check your settings to see what level you’re at.
Good thing is you don’t gotta do anything special to raise your level. Just keep using the app like normal. Your level goes up by itself over time.

Getting your money is pretty simple. You can send coins to Coinbase if you use that. Or get them right to your bank account. For the bank option, Shping turns your coins into real money based on whatever they’re worth at that time.
If you already know crypto stuff, this is super easy for you. If you’re kinda new to all this crypto stuff, it might feel weird at first. But you’ll get used to it pretty quick. I mean, it’s not really that hard once you try it a couple times.
How much can you really earn?
Shping doesn’t pay that well right now. The main reason is the low value of their coin, which you have zero control over.
Your shopping habits decide how much you earn. Buy more stuff, scan more receipts, get more coins. Shop less often, and you’ll make less money.
It will take you quite a while to save up anything worth cashing out. The slow earnings come from both how often you shop and the current low value of Shping coins.
If the coin ever becomes worth more money, you could earn better. But right now, your earnings mostly depend on how much shopping you actually do.
Is Shping Available for You?
Shping only works in Australia. If you don’t live in Australia, you can’t use it.
To join Shping, you gotta download the app first. The sign-up takes less than a minute. After you register, you can log in and start earning money.
Phone Only App?
Nope, you can’t use Shping on your computer at all. Gotta have a phone or tablet to make any money with it.
The app works on Android and iPhones, but that doesn’t mean it’s good. The whole thing feels kinda clunky… not the easiest to figure out, especially if you’ve never used apps like this before.
I tried it and wasn’t impressed. The way everything’s set up just feels off to me. If you want better options, I wrote about 10 other apps that pay real money without needing you to put cash in first.
Getting Stuck? Here’s How Shping Helps
I checked out Shping’s support… it’s there, but just barely.
Their website? Pretty empty when you need answers about making money. They stuck a few basic questions in their FAQ section – that’s it.
Got a problem? You’ll have to contact them directly. Use the app to send a message or shoot an email to [email protected].
I think Shping does the bare minimum for support. They give you a way to ask for help – that’s something, I guess. But c’mon… their website should tell us more so we don’t have to bug their support team for every little thing.
Is Shping the Right Choice?
Look… I tested Shping. It’s real money but barely any.
You scan store receipts and write some product reviews. That’s it. The app works OK but pays so little for your time.
