The add-on runs by itself – you don’t need to do anything. It watches what you do online and gathers information. Swash says they won’t take private stuff, but I don’t like apps watching what I do online.
You’ll have to decide if you’re ok with this. Swash sells your browsing data to companies. Then you get some money back through the add-on.
I looked around and found out Firefox users can join too. If you use Firefox instead of Chrome, you can still add Swash and earn.
When Swash sells your data, they pay you in Swash tokens – that’s their own type of crypto money.

You won’t need to change anything about how you use the internet. The ads show up on their own, and you earn a bit each time one appears. And (this part’s important) you don’t even have to click on them.
I should mention something upfront… The money from these ads isn’t huge. But since it happens automatically while you’re already online, it adds up over time without any extra work from you.
Oh, and you get to pick how often these ads pop up. So if they start bugging you, just adjust the settings until they feel right. A lot of us set them to show up less often at first, then tweak it as we get used to them.
Paid Tasks
You can complete tasks to earn money. I found this option on the platform and didn’t expect it – but it works just like other online earning sites.
You’ll see all the tasks in your account dashboard. Each task needs you to download apps on your phone. You must read and follow the exact steps to get paid.
When you skip any instruction, you won’t get your money. The instructions tell you what to do step by step.
Based on my tests, other sites pay more for these same tasks. Sites like EarnApp or GG2U offer higher payments for installing the same apps.

From my experience testing Swash, I noticed some things that might help you decide if it’s worth trying.

- Setting up Swash won’t give you headaches – it takes just a couple of minutes to add it to Chrome. Sure, you’ll need to check those permissions, but nothing too complicated.
- Once it’s running, you won’t have to lift a finger. The app works on its own while you browse online, collecting data in the background. And don’t worry – you’re in control. If you want to pause it, just click a button to turn it off.
- Swash keeps adding new ways for users to earn tokens. You can make some extra money by telling friends about it, and sometimes they offer special deals too.
- Something I appreciate about Swash: they don’t hide anything about how they use your data to make money. Everything’s out in the open.
- One more plus – anyone can join. It doesn’t matter which country you live in, you can still sign up and start earning.
Disadvantages
- Privacy Concerns
Swash needs to see everything you do online – and I mean everything. This includes when you check your bank account online. That’s… not great for keeping your information safe.
- Money Problems
Taking out your earnings isn’t simple at all. You can’t just get the money sent to your bank account. Instead, you have to mess around with cryptocurrency and something called the Gnosis chain. If you’re new to crypto, this part can give you a headache.

The app isn’t easy to figure out. You might spend a bunch of time just trying to understand where everything is and how it works.
- Technical Issues
A lot of the features aren’t finished yet – they’re still testing them out. This means you might run into problems while using the app.
