SaySo lets you earn by filling out surveys. Pretty basic stuff. I was curious about it myself, so I had a proper look at how it all works.
Before you go clicking that sign-up button, you might want to see what I found. No point joining something if it’s rubbish, is there?
My review covers everything you need to know. The actual details, not just what they claim on their homepage.
After reading, you can decide if it’s your cup of tea or not. Some survey sites are alright, others are a waste of time, basically.
Right, so what’s SaySo actually got to offer then?
What is SaySo and How Does It Work?
SaySo works as a market research company. They want your feedback on new products and brands.
Yes, you can make real money from it. So the site is legit.
But is it actually worth your time? That’s the real question.
I looked into what sort of earning chances they have so you can figure out if the effort matches the rewards. Because nobody wants to waste hours for pennies, right?
So what ways can you make money with SaySo?
Research Activities and Focus groups
You can earn money on SaySo by doing their research bits and bobs. Surveys are what you see most often though.
Some surveys take just a minute. Others need about 15 minutes to finish. You always have to answer those annoying qualifying questions first. If they want people like you, great. If not, you get nothing and move on. Bit frustrating really.

The thing about SaySo is they never have loads of surveys available. So you can forget about making regular money from it in my opinion.
Focus groups pay the best money. These can be online or at their actual offices. The website claims they last 30 minutes to 2 hours. Never got invited to one myself so cannot tell you if that is true. Make sure you have the time free if you do get picked.
They have this product testing option too. You try stuff and fill out forms about it online. Pretty straightforward.
There are also these forum things where you chat with other people and someone who works there. Companies use these to figure out what people want to buy. Standard market research stuff.
Sometimes they ask you to go shopping and buy specific items. You tell them about your experience in the shop and maybe review what you bought. Not a bad way to earn points if you were going shopping anyway.
All these different activities give you different points. Obviously the longer and more annoying ones pay better. The surveys are the only quick option. If they invite you to do anything else, check your calendar first. Some tasks take ages.
I will tell you what you can actually do with these points in a bit.
I checked out other survey sites on my blog too. Thrifty Pig, ySense, Pawns, PurplePatch. Have a look at those articles if you want to know if they are legit or not. But let us get back to SaySo for now.
How do referrals work on SaySo?
You can get extra stuff on SaySo by getting your friends to join. You just share your link with people. When they click and sign up, they count as your referral. That gets you points.
The problem is their website is really unclear about how it all works. Like, they say you get points based on what the page shows when your friend signs up.
Thing is, this value keeps changing. They look at when your mate finishes signing up, not when you sent them your link. Pretty rubbish if you ask me.
It makes no sense, which is why I reckon their referral thing isn’t great. Not worth the hassle.
Plus they don’t tell you if your friends need to do other stuff before you get paid. I know with most of these sites, your mates usually have to finish a survey or something to actually count, you know what I mean?
How to cash out your SaySo earnings?
SaySo gives you points for the tasks you do. What happens with these points after you collect them? Well, you can trade them in for gift cards.
They use something called Gift Pay cards. These let you shop at partner stores.
To get your hands on a card, you need 500 points. That gets you a $5 gift card. Not a lot, I know.
The amount isn’t huge but at least you don’t have to wait ages to cash out. That’s actually quite good.
I think the way they pay is pretty simple. The downside is there’s no real money option.
If you want actual cash in your account, I’d say check out the 10 Best sites to make money online worldwide for beginners.
How much can you actually make on SaySo?
The money you get from SaySo mostly depends on how many things they let you do. Sadly, you don’t get to pick how many tasks they ask you to join. That part isn’t up to you.
I found that the best thing you can do is answer every survey they send, even when there’s no reward at all. Yes, some surveys pay you nothing. Zero cash.
These are just questions about yourself so SaySo can see if you match what they’re looking for later. So, we can’t just ignore the ones without rewards if we want to make more money.
For the pay, it changes based on what kind of task it is. From what I tested, normal surveys pay between $1 and $100, depending on how long and tricky they are.
Focus groups pay better. I can’t say much about these because I never got to try one when I was testing the site. But based on what the website says, they pay about $100 to $200 per hour.
They do pay a decent amount for each task. That’s true.
But you won’t make loads of money overall because there just aren’t many chances to earn. That’s the main problem.
Yes, you might get good money from each thing you do, but you can’t rely on making cash from it regularly.
So, keep your hopes low with SaySo.

Who’s able to use SaySo right now?
SaySo only lets people from Australia, New Zealand, and the UK join. So if you live somewhere else, you can’t use it at all. You also need to be 18 or older.
I tried signing up myself to see how it works.
When you join, you fill out a form with your normal name, pick a username, and put in your email. They also want your mobile number. After you finish, SaySo sends you an email with a link in it.
You have to click this link.
Then they text a code to your phone. Based on what I saw, this is how they check you’re a real person.
Once you put in this code, that’s it. You can log in and start earning money.

How To Use SaySo On Mobile
No app for SaySo, but their site works fine on phones. So you can still do everything on mobile without any problems, which is good.
Using your phone means you can make money when you’re not at your computer. I found this really helpful when I was testing it out because I could check for new surveys anywhere.
The thing is, these research activities only let in so many people. Once they get enough, they close it down and you cant get in anymore. So being quick is important.
Basically, having SaySo on your phone means you’ll catch more chances. You know how it is, the faster you see something, the more likely you can join before it fills up.
When I used the mobile site, it was pretty decent actually. The overall feel of using it wasn’t bad at all, in my opinion.
Getting help from SaySo
So the thing about SaySo is you can actually get help if you need it. First place to look is their FAQ section. It covers most of the basic stuff you should know about using the site.
But what if you cant find your answer there?
You can just contact their support team. They have this contact form on the website that you can fill out. Or if you prefer, you can email them at [email protected] which is what I did when I had a question.
I would say the support is decent from what I saw. They give you ways to ask for help which is good I guess. Makes it pretty easy to get your questions sorted.
Is SaySo worth your time?
So you know those 10 apps that pay real money without putting anything in? They’re much better if you want to earn properly. You can make good money quick with them. Most give you real cash too, not just rewards. And it doesn’t matter where you live, you’ll find one that works for you.
What about SaySo? Well, it’s okay I guess. The site’s easy to use, which is nice. I quite like reading what other people say about products and surveys. You can get some good ideas from them, can’t you?
I should probably tell you that you don’t get actual money from it though. Just rewards. That’s kind of important to know before you start.
The topics on SaySo are pretty varied, which I enjoy. And the rewards are higher than some other places, but, um, here’s the thing. You can’t really earn regular stuff on it because there aren’t many chances to make anything.
It’s not terrible for picking up extra bits when you have time. Just not something you can rely on for steady earnings, if you know what I mean. More of a second option really.
Want to join? Go ahead if you’re fine with those limits. But honestly, if you want a main site, look at those apps I mentioned.
