TimeBucks: Is It Legit? Review and Payment Proof

TimeBucks is one of dozens of websites that promise money from your computer, with no hassle. I’ve seen them many times before. Is it legit or not?

It’s legit.

I’ve been using it for years, I’ve been paid many times, and I’ve included the proof below in this article. It’s not one of those scams. It’s safe, I’ve checked it myself, not just heard about it, the money really does go into your account, I’ve stayed with the platform throughout all these years of testing, and I’ve gone through it all, not just the easy parts. I’m not saying this to sell you anything, it’s just the truth. But that doesn’t mean it’s the right choice for you.

This review goes into detail about everything the platform has to offer. I’ll share my firsthand experience, and if you decide to sign up, I’ll also show you a few of my own tips, gathered over time, to help you get the most out of it. It’s up to you, after you’ve read everything, to decide whether TimeBucks is really worth it or if you should look for another option.

What is TimeBucks, and how does it work?

I was around during the time when TimeBucks had you grow a beard for money, or earn money from selfies.

I didn’t expect that. Both of those options are gone now, and the site has replaced them with others in the meantime.

That’s actually how TimeBucks works. It’s constantly changing what it offers, with new methods appearing and others that didn’t work disappearing.

There may be options on the site that this review doesn’t cover.

I update it as often as I can, but the site is always evolving.

What exactly is it? A rewards site, or GPT (Get-Paid-To), as they’re called in the industry, although that term scares some people. It launched in 2014, you sign up for free, and you don’t pay anything to use it, just like any reputable GPT site.

Behind it is Clearing Pty Ltd, an Australian company founded in 1975, legally registered and also active in financial services, including securities brokerage. It’s a reputable company with all its paperwork in order. TimeBucks is available worldwide, but we’ll discuss availability in more detail below.

Many of the methods here can also be found on other rewards or survey sites, such as ySense or Pawns. But some of the methods on TimeBucks I haven’t seen anywhere else. Are these good opportunities or just a waste of time? It depends entirely on what you’re looking for.

Below, I’ll go over each earning method available on TimeBucks so you know exactly what you’re signing up for.

Share your opinion and get paid

Bitlabs, Cherries, CINT, CPX Research, PrimeSurveys, Theorem Reach, all providers I was already familiar with from other survey apps, not ones invented by TimeBucks.

That’s what matters.

You take their surveys, but the money still goes into your TimeBucks account.

TimeBucks paid surveys

Most surveys come through routers or offer walls. The advantage is that you’ll find plenty of them in almost any country. The downside is that it takes patience, and sometimes it takes a while to find one you actually qualify for, and then you feel like you’re wasting your time for nothing.

But is it worth the wait?

Yes. I found a survey that paid $1.47 for just 12 minutes, and from what I’ve seen on other GPT sites, where the same surveys appear, that’s one of the highest payouts for a survey of this kind. For 12 minutes, that’s generous.

Surveys are among the best ways to earn money on TimeBucks. The section is definitely worth checking out if you sign up, especially if you’re patient with filtering.

The number of surveys you get depends on the country you’re logging in from, even though TimeBucks covers most countries, so not everyone sees the same number in their account. I got 52, and I counted them directly from my account (a decent total, but strictly my own). The number isn’t fixed, it can be higher or lower depending on where you are.

But if you don’t get many surveys, the platform offers other ways to earn money.

Earn money with offerwalls

Each offerwall leads to its own set of offers, and there are plenty of them.

You test products for free, sign up for websites, download apps, and those are just three examples of what you’ll find on the offerwalls. The rest can’t even be described in a single sentence.

TimeBucks offerwalls

Among them are Prime Earn, Torox, AyeT Studios, AdtoWall, MyChips, Revenue Universe, AdscendMedia, HangMyAds, PixyLabs, TimeWall, and Notik. I didn’t know all of them before, but these are the ones that come up most often.

Some new ones appear, while older ones disappear.

The rewards from some offers are really generous, not all of them, but enough to make a difference. I don’t think that’s bad at all.

These offers aren’t just on TimeBucks. They also appear on GG2U Premium and Attapoll, two other survey sites, so if you’re already working on one of them, you don’t need a new account to access them.

Since you have them all at your fingertips anyway, it doesn’t hurt to compare where the offers pay out best.

Earn money or rewards by completing online tasks

Not all tasks on Timebucks pay the same.

Those tasks come from other members, not directly from Timebucks. And why does that matter? Because not everyone pays fairly.

Choose carefully.

The requirements and pay are visible in advance for each task. You decide what to do and what not to do, and with a little care, these tasks can bring in a little extra cash, especially if you choose tasks where you can clearly see how much and how you’ll be paid.

TimeBucks online tasks

I download apps, watch YouTube videos, follow social media accounts, or visit a new website every now and then. I also have the option of the Telegram channel, which I join sometimes.

That’s about it.

When I tested it, the section had over 41 tasks.

In addition to these, you’ll find tasks like:

  • Retweeting posts
  • Clicking on ads
  • Signing up on websites
  • Listening to podcasts
  • Joining Timebucks channels on Telegram, Instagram, or Facebook

Most of them are quick to complete. But not all of them pay out equally well (some aren’t worth clicking the button for).

Among the micro-task platforms I’ve tried, Timebucks stands out. It has more tasks and significantly better terms than other platforms in the same category.

Get paid to click on ads

You’d think you could make easy money from clicks, but if you didn’t earn anything the day before, you only get $0.002 per click.

TimeBucks paid to click ads

Pocket change, nothing more.

$0.002 is the worst-case scenario. In fact, for every click, you get 0.5% of what you earned the day before, once every 2 hours. So the more you earned yesterday, the more you get today for each click.

You can skip the 2-hour wait if you complete a survey or an offer in the meantime, but there’s still a cap of 24 clicks per day at most.

The Push Click feature had disappeared from here, but not entirely. I found it moved to the earnings section. From there, you can access it without any hassle.

The section used to have a different name, “Content,” and it used to include several things at once, such as small ads you’d click on, a website or video kept open for a set number of seconds, a “like” on the TimeBucks Facebook page, and a couple more things like that.

You could also earn money from slideshows back then. That option is gone for good, but it wasn’t a big loss, since it paid very little anyway.

Now, all that’s left is clicking on a link and keeping it open for a few seconds. The rest has been cut out.

Boost your daily earnings with Hourly Crown

Ten cents is all TimeBucks asks for before letting you play.

It’s a recently added feature, designed for those who’ve grown tired of the small tasks that pay out too slowly. TimeBucks rewards its most active users more than ever, and Hourly Crown is the tool that highlights them, hour by hour. Once you’ve earned enough this week, go to the Earn section, tap on Hourly Crown, and you’ll see a timer that resets every hour. The idea is to click the exact second it hits zero.

TimeBucks Hourly Crown

That’s the rule. But you can’t just keep tapping to time it, you’re only allowed one attempt every five minutes. There’s no room for error here.

Each round lasts exactly one hour, so you have to keep checking back so you don’t miss the next round, and that means repeating the same routine endlessly, hour after hour.

Is there any point in reminding yourself, hour after hour, just to click once? This game doesn’t appeal to me. I don’t put that much effort into a bonus that isn’t even guaranteed, at least not for the amount of effort it requires.

Still, anyone who happens to be on the dashboard right at the very last moment of the round still gets the bonus, without having actively chased after it, and at least that’s something to gain from the whole thing.

Refer Your Friends

The referral program used to work differently not too long ago, with five commission tiers. Now they’ve cut it all down to a single percentage, 10%, just like most sites in this niche do.

If someone you refer earns $10, you get $1 of that amount. As for their bonuses, you get nothing.

Is this commission really worth the effort of constantly posting the link?

Well, if you really like the platform, you have one more reason to post the link as often as possible. The commission is a real bonus, but it won’t make you rich. In addition to that, there are separate referral bonuses, but only for those who sign up through Google.

Your first valid referral earns you $0.40, a one-time payment, once it passes verification.

Then, for each validated Google sign-up, you’ll receive an additional bonus that depends on the country of the person you referred. The amount is awarded only if they pass Google’s anti-fraud checks, so don’t count on every sign-up as guaranteed money. The bonus has four tiers, depending on the person’s country of origin:

  • $0.60 for the U.S.
  • $0.30 for the UK, Australia, Canada, and Germany.
  • $0.18 for France, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Luxembourg, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, and South Korea.
  • $0.10 for all other countries.

The U.S. brings in six times more than the last category, and that clearly shows which markets matter to them. The link, by the way, is located in Earn or in the Dashboard, under the Refer tab. From there, you can grab it in a few seconds and post it on forums, in social media posts, in reviews, or send it directly to friends via messages and DMs.

The people you refer don’t lose out on any of this, they earn exactly what they would have earned even without your link. The commission is a separate cost that TimeBucks covers, it’s not deducted from their earnings.

Daily Streak

The first ten days of Daily Streak don’t require anything extra, just a daily click. After day 10, things change, and your streak only stays active if you’ve earned a minimum amount in the last 48 hours since your last check-in. This threshold isn’t the same for everyone, it varies by country, just like the weekly checklist. It’s free to join. You only stay if you produce results.

TimeBucks daily streak

One click a day, that’s pretty much the whole mechanism behind it. The button is called “Check In.” If you click too early, nothing happens. You have to wait a full 24 hours after your previous click for the day to count toward your streak. Each additional day in the streak pushes the bonus higher.

There are ten ranks in total, one new every ten days, ranging from Rookie to God Like.

  • Day 0, Rookie.
  • Day 10, Hustler.
  • Day 20, Earner.
  • Day 30, Grinder.
  • Day 40, Veteran.
  • Day 50, Expert.
  • Day 60, Master.
  • Day 70, Grandmaster.
  • Day 80, Legend.
  • Day 90, God Like.

Ten levels, exactly ten days apart.

Miss a day? If you go 48 hours without logging in, your streak ends, and you start over from 0.

Out of everything they recommend, three key points stand out. Don’t skip a single day, calculate in advance how much you need to reach the Day 10 threshold, and keep in mind that a long streak requires more effort, not just a bigger bonus.

Day 90 earns me a maximum of $11.01. Other testers have told me that their bonus is much lower than that, because it all depends on the country you’re logging in from. I haven’t come across any country with a higher amount, but I suspect there must be one somewhere. As a bonus for a simple daily check-in, it seems generous to me, and it doesn’t ask for much in return.

TimeBucks Payment Proof

Timebucks payment proof in PayPal

How do you get paid?

The money is automatically withdrawn five times a week, on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (but not on Friday or Saturday), at 11:59:59 p.m. server time, which is New York time.

It wasn’t always automatic. At one point, you had to choose the method and initiate the withdrawal yourself each time.

The threshold is low, just $3, but you have to reach it before the deadline to get that day’s payout. Didn’t make it in time? You don’t lose the money, it stays in your account and keeps accumulating until the next time you qualify.

Earnings are tracked only in dollars. You can’t switch to local currency or another currency in the settings. If you’re from another country, the money is automatically converted by your bank or wallet.

It’s not just about the balance. You also need a payment method selected in Settings under “Payment Method” and a verified account, all at the same time.

Not every payment method requires full verification. For non-crypto methods, standard verification is sufficient, but for Litecoin, Solana, or an account flagged for additional review, you’ll be asked to provide your ID. So, regardless of the method, verify your identity with TimeBucks before your first withdrawal.

You also have the option to put your payment on hold so you can accumulate more before withdrawing it.

TimeBucks payment methods

Eight payment methods are currently available, a number that has fluctuated over time on this platform.

  • AirTM
  • Wise
  • PayPal
  • Visa
  • Skrill
  • Litecoin, verified ID required
  • Solana, verified ID required
  • Revolut

Some of these options may not be available in your country, so be sure to check carefully what’s actually available to you before relying on a specific method.

I find the new system much more convenient. The tasks are the same, but when it comes to payment, you don’t have to lift a finger, you just hit the threshold and the rest takes care of itself.

How much can you earn with TimeBucks?

Time is the most important factor.

The more hours you put into TimeBucks and the more opportunities you try on the platform, the more you’ll earn. But that’s not the only thing that matters, because the country you live in is just as important, especially when it comes to how many surveys and offers on the offer wall appear where you are.

In a country where surveys are frequently available, you start with a clear advantage. Not so lucky with your location? You’ll still earn something, because a good portion of the methods on TimeBucks don’t depend at all on where you live, so anyone can earn a little extra.

And you can invite other people to sign up, no matter where you are. Referrals can become a good source of extra income, not just an occasional pittance.

However, just like with any other survey and GPT site, you won’t be able to pay your bills with this. You’ll make a little extra money, sure. But if you thought you’d get rich, you’re in for a disappointment.

How to verify your identity on TimeBucks?

Referral commissions aren’t automatically added to your account. The people you refer must first pass identity verification, otherwise you won’t see a single cent from any of their activity. This is the most common reason why referral money never reaches you.

The verification process itself is handled by Verisoul, TimeBucks’ identity verification partner. The purpose is simple, to eliminate duplicate or fake accounts and strictly enforce the minimum age requirement. You’ll find this step in Settings, under Verify ID.

Verification isn’t a single-step process, but rather consists of two separate stages. One activates automatically, while the other requires some effort on your part.

“Trust-score verified” status is granted without a scan or any action on your part, based solely on your account’s behavior. With this status, you have access to regular withdrawals (anything other than crypto), and “Verified” appears in Settings, indicating that you’re already in a trusted status.

“ID Verified” is completely different. Here, you actually have to complete the scan, with a selfie and your ID in hand. The platform requires this for any crypto withdrawal, as well as for any account they’ve flagged for compliance verification. The label in Settings shows “ID Verified: Verified.”

If you’re already on Trust Score and try to make a crypto withdrawal, you’ll immediately get a message saying you need full verification, along with a new button to start the scan. This works fine for Wise or PayPal. Not at all for crypto. There, full verification is mandatory.

It doesn’t hurt to get it done early, before anyone asks you to, because once the document is confirmed, everything is unlocked in one go.

For Verisoul, an “accepted document” means over 2,000 possible options from all over the world. Almost any official and still-valid document passes the test, such as a passport, driver’s license, ID card, or something equivalent.

One condition after another. The document must be valid and not expired, both sides must be photographed if the document actually has two sides, and the face in the selfie must match exactly the photo and the name on the document.

A document that’s cut off in the frame, blurry, expired, or altered is rejected immediately, but you have nothing to lose, so just try again with a better photo or another valid document.

A failed scan, in most cases, doesn’t mean your application has actually been rejected, just that the photo is of poor quality, which is something that can be easily fixed. There are six rules, all from Verisoul, designed specifically for selfies and ID scans.

  • Lighting, a strong light source in front of you, never behind you, so that no shadow falls on your face. Set your phone’s brightness to maximum before the step with the white screen, the one that scans your face.
  • Phone position: hold it vertically, in portrait mode, from one end of the scan to the other; never hold it horizontally.
  • Camera, accept permission when the browser requests it, close any other apps that might be using the camera, such as a video call or a security app, and quickly wipe the lens.
  • Document in frame, placed straight on a flat surface, with the entire outline visible, including the edges, and both sides if applicable.
  • Distance, follow the on-screen instructions when it says to move closer or farther away, hold the phone steady, and don’t push it too close to your face.
  • Time, the session has a time limit, if you leave it open too long it will expire, so start the scan as soon as you enter, not a few minutes later.

If the scan still fails after all that, check three simple things. Does your face actually look like the photo on your ID? Is the ID still valid? And does the country listed in your TimeBucks profile match the country on the document? These three factors account for most failures that have nothing to do with the scanning technique.

For me, it took less than an hour, from start to finish. The automated AI verification usually goes quickly, taking anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, which is pretty much how it’s been for me every time.

In my account, it now says “ID Verified: Verified,” with the old note below, still about trust and still saying there’s nothing else to do.

Who can use TimeBucks?

On other sites in this area, you’ll find far fewer options. TimeBucks offers more, even for a country where surveys are rare. Video content, Instagram, friend referrals, giveaways, tasks, and videos appear almost everywhere, and you’ll find surveys and paid offers in most places too, though sometimes you have to wait a bit for the first ones to show up.

TimeBucks sign up form

What you can do there varies from country to country, but anyone can create an account, regardless of their country. Signing up takes 5 seconds. You can create an account using your email or by logging in with Google, directly on Timebucks, and it’s free.

You don’t have to fill out your profile and payment settings right away, but I’d still set them up right from the start, directly in Settings, so you don’t have to deal with any hassle when it comes time to cash out.

Can you use it on your phone?

These are tasks you can squeeze in between other things whenever you have a little free time during the day, so being able to access TimeBucks from your phone really matters. Using a browser, you can access all the ways to earn money on the site from any phone, and the page is optimized for small screens, so you don’t miss a thing.

There’s also a separate app, also called TimeBucks (unlike most apps of this type). You won’t find all the ways to earn money on the site there, just certain types of surveys. To use it, you first need to link it to your account. Go to your profile settings, look for a code called “Timebucks Connect,” and enter it when you log in to the app.

It’s only available on Android for now.

On Google Play, it has a rating of 3.2, with over 7,000 reviews and more than a million downloads. A million downloads is a lot, but what does that low rating mean? It means not everyone was satisfied with the app.

Some tasks can only be done on your phone, not on a computer. That’s a good reason not to overlook the mobile version, whether you choose the app or the browser.

Is TimeBucks LEGIT or SCAM?

I didn’t lose anything by trying out TimeBucks, and there’s zero risk involved. If you don’t absolutely need that money to pay bills, you can cash it out directly in crypto, like Solana or Litecoin.

TimeBucks is a legit GPT site, it’s not a scam, and there are plenty of ways to earn.

I really like it. I think it’s great that it offers different ways to earn than other survey sites, especially for people living in countries where it’s usually hard to find opportunities on traditional survey sites (I’m speaking from my own experience testing it, not generalizing for everyone).

Some tasks pay very little, I won’t deny it. But many are things you do online anyway, like playing games, sharing your opinion, watching videos, or posting on TikTok. So why not earn a little money from them? Well, you’ve got nothing to lose. It’s not much, but it’s still something.

Instead of wasting time on Facebook or watching TV, spend an hour or two a day on TimeBucks and earn some cash or crypto. Whether it’s worth getting into depends entirely on what you’re looking for and whether the options there actually interest you. It convinced me.
